The net sheds of Gig Harbor are remnants of the communities cultural heritage and economic development. Many of the extant net sheds are an integral part of successful commercial fishing operations and are used for storing and mending fishing nets as well as repairing the equipment used for commercial vessels. The net sheds are the only surviving architectural connection between the community and what was once one of the most successful fishing fleets on the West Coast.
About Bill Talich: I cannot remember a time in my life when I did not have a camera in my hand whenever I went on a trip. As I observed the beauty of nature all around me, I somehow had a deep desire to capture Gods handiwork and the sense of awe that I felt in seeing what He has made and capturing those images.
